Well, you might be wondering who this group are, with a name that might mistakenly lead you to think about extra-terrestrial beings and stuff. U.F.O. is an underground hip hop group based in Kenya, with members (those I know of) Sketch and O.J., who have some really amazing lyricism in their album, Baada Ya Cypher.
The tracks in the album are well crafted, with good wordplay from both Sketch and O.J. forming an exciting lyrical duet. The duo exchange punchlines in an intelligent way that will leave the light thinkers puzzled as to the meaning of the lines.
Since their last album, however, the group has been rather quiet, but East African hip hop fans are avidly awaiting more from the two.
My 2 cents? The group should work on their marketing and publicity more, if they want to reach a wider market with their music.
